The Block

I feel like I missed something here. Everyone else seems to have loved it, but I just found it a bit formulaic.

It's not that I didn't enjoy the book, but it felt unoriginal, very teen angsty and the main character's stupidity really got to me. The music is nice to read about, but the storyline is just like so many other stories, that I knew exactly what was coming when. I guess I might feel differently about it if I had a teen. If you're a teenager going through the same stuff, I would recommend it. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.
