This one is slightly better than the first. It's nice reading from two perspectives rather than just one. However, the voices of the two characters are practically the same even though one is a boy and the other a girl.
I decided to read this because I'm going through a stressful time and needed something fun and easy to read while everything else is going on. And it delivered. It was easy and fun. However, unlike most other YA series that are incredibly popular, I could easily put it down at night and I didn't really care about the characters. I would also be hard pressed to call this sci-fi. It is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy at best.
However, since my stressful time is continuing, I am continuing with the series - thanks to Kobo discount vouchers.
